PhauksCalc Desktop — A text editor that does math.
PhauksWorks for Desktop

Calculate your way.

PhauksCalc Desktop is the original PhauksCalc: a free-form calculator built around an editable document instead of a fixed calculator display. Write naturally, keep calculations and notes together, revisit earlier work, and use a capable math engine without giving up the simplicity of a text-based workspace.

Why PhauksCalc Desktop?

More workspace. Less calculator.

Write first. Calculate anywhere.

The calculation area behaves like an editable document. Mix expressions with notes, define variables, revisit earlier work, and keep the useful parts of a calculation visible instead of losing them to a one-line display.

A real math engine underneath.

Variables, scientific functions, percentages, conversions, Simplify, Isolate, equation solving, and other expression tools are available when the problem calls for more than ordinary arithmetic.

Built for desktop work.

PhauksCalc Desktop keeps the familiar mouse-and-keyboard workflow of a desktop application while giving calculations room to become reusable working documents rather than disposable answers.

A closer look

Built for real calculations.

PhauksCalc Desktop is useful for quick arithmetic, but its real advantage appears when a calculation grows. Variables can describe the problem, later expressions can reuse them, and the entire chain stays visible so you can see how an answer was reached.

The same workspace can move from ordinary multiplication and percentages to algebra, scientific functions, equation solving, conversions, and reusable variables without changing modes or clearing away earlier work.

The application also keeps supporting tools close by, including a detailed built-in help system and saved calculation logs that make it easier to return to work from an earlier session.
