Privacy Policy

PhauksWorks respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how the PhauksCalc Android application handles information.

Information stored on your device

PhauksCalc stores application data locally so it can remember your work and preferences. This may include calculator content and history, application and calculator settings, custom keyboard settings and layouts, support/reminder preferences, diagnostic information, locally cached information used to remember the App's most recently known Google Play Pro entitlement, and the version of the legal agreement you acknowledged.

PhauksWorks does not operate an account system for PhauksCalc, and ordinary calculator documents, calculations, history, and settings are not automatically uploaded to PhauksWorks. The planned agreement acknowledgment is stored locally on the device; it is not a server-side identity or signature service.

Google Play purchases and updates

PhauksCalc offers an optional one-time Pro purchase through Google Play. Google processes purchases under its own privacy practices and terms. The App receives information needed to determine purchase status and provide the entitlement. PhauksWorks does not receive or store your full payment-card information through the App.

The App may contact Google Play to check whether an update is available, including when you manually request a check and through periodic update checks. Google may process device, application, and account-related information under its own policies when providing Play services. PhauksWorks does not operate a separate update-check account or tracking service.

Bug reports and feature requests

PhauksCalc can prepare a bug report or feature request addressed to PhauksWorks through an email composition flow. You can review the message before deciding whether to send it. Depending on what you include, a message may contain a reply email address, your description, app and device information, calculator settings, current calculator text, and recent diagnostic log information.

Information is sent to PhauksWorks only if you choose to send the email. Delivery is handled by your selected email app and email providers. Information received in support correspondence is used to respond, investigate problems, and improve PhauksCalc.

Advertising and tracking

PhauksCalc does not contain advertising. PhauksWorks does not sell your personal information or calculator content to advertisers and does not include a PhauksWorks-operated analytics or advertising tracking service in the App.

Sharing with service providers

Google Play processes information as necessary for purchases and update checks. If you voluntarily send a report or request, the email providers involved also process that correspondence. Their handling of information is governed by their respective policies.

Children

PhauksCalc is a general-purpose calculator and is not specifically directed to children. PhauksWorks does not knowingly operate an App account or profile system to collect children's personal information.

Security, retention, and your choices

Most App information stays on your device under Android's device and app protections. You can decide whether to send support correspondence and review its contents first. Locally stored data and acknowledgments may be removed when you clear App storage or uninstall the App, subject to Android's backup and restore behavior. Emails sent to PhauksWorks may be retained as reasonably needed for support, security, or legal obligations.

Data deletion requests

If you sent PhauksWorks a bug report, feature request, support email, or other information and would like it deleted, contact PhauksWorks@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the information. PhauksWorks will delete information it controls that can reasonably be identified, except where retention is required or otherwise permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes. Information controlled by Google or email providers may need to be managed through those providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features or data practices change. The current version will be published here with an updated effective date when appropriate.
