Version 0.2.2 — Upcoming Beta

This is the working changelog for the next PhauksLedger beta. Completed fixes and improvements will be added here as development continues; they are not included in the currently downloadable version.

Changes planned for this release

First-launch beta agreement
Added a required, one-time Beta Software Agreement acknowledgment before using the app. The agreement explicitly explains known bugs, possible inaccurate balances or lost transactions and evidence, and the importance of independently verifying records and maintaining backups. Users can accept to continue or decline to exit.
Agreement acceptance history
The app locally records the accepted agreement version and acceptance time. Users will be prompted again if the agreement version changes.
About and legal information
Added an About PhauksLedger dialog with beta information and a way to reopen and review the full agreement at any time.
Line identification
Corrected how PhauksLedger identifies a line when you press down on it. Previously, a press could be associated with the wrong line, making the app act on a different entry than the one you intended. The press handling now identifies the line being touched so the intended entry is used.

Version 0.2.2 is a proposed next version number, not a published release. The version and contents may change before publication.

Version 0.2.1 — Public Beta

PhauksLedger 0.2.1 is an early Android beta for keeping a transaction ledger with optional supporting evidence. This is the first version distributed from the PhauksWorks website.

Features and Capabilities

Transaction register
Track entries, balances, and processed or unprocessed activity.
Transaction details
Review individual entries and associated notes.
Photo evidence
Capture supporting images through the device camera.
Audio evidence
Record and play back transaction-related audio.
On-device transcription
Process recordings into text using the bundled offline speech model.
Location context
Record available GPS and nearby Wi-Fi observations when permissions allow.
History and recovery tools
Audit history, undo, and backup/export functions.

Beta Notes

Startup reliability, evidence capture, camera capabilities, and backup/restore behavior are still being tested. Maintain backups of important records and report unexpected behavior.
